Northeus Ash Leofric was born in Connecticut in March 2001. His father grew up in the United States, his mother came from Indonesia, and for most of his early childhood, that combination didn’t feel particularly special to him. He was an only child, until a younger sister arriving two years later. Northea was born in 2003, and somewhere between becoming an older brother and constantly hearing things like “set a good example,” Ash accidentally developed the habit of taking responsibility without looking like he was taking responsibility.
He spent the first ten years of his life in United States. When the family moved to Indonesia, the adjustment wasn’t dramatic in the way movies make it seem. He adapted fine, made friends eventually, got used to new routines… but he was never the type to walk into a room and immediately belong everywhere. He usually stayed quiet at first, watched people just enough to understand the atmosphere, and needed time before becoming comfortable. People who only knew him casually tended to think he was calm, maybe even a little difficult to read. But, once Ash got comfortable, the personality shift was almost embarrassing. Suddenly he talked more, joked more, teased people relentlessly, and acted like dignity was optional.
But somehow, that never made people think he was unreliable. Ash had this annoying habit of acting unserious right until the moment things actually mattered. He forgot small things, joked around too much, looked like he wasn’t paying attention, and then suddenly he’d be the one staying late, helping fix problems, carrying heavy stuff, picking people up, or stepping in when someone needed help.
By the time university came around, choosing what to study somehow became less complicated than people expected. His father preferred something practical; something with clear opportunities, stable enough to feel worth the tuition and respectable enough to explain in one sentence. Ash didn’t disagree. He ended up studying at Faculty of Economics & Business, Universitas Indonesia. He still wasn’t the type to build his entire personality around being productive. He did assignments, skipped things occasionally, joined things randomly, and somehow always looked less prepared than he actually was. But he liked having room to do things his own way.
Around that time, people started noticing he had a good eye for clothes. Not in a dramatic fashion student kind of way; he just seemed to know what worked. Colors, silhouettes, small details. Friends started asking him for opinions, borrowing things, sending outfit photos before events. What started as helping people choose clothes eventually turned into him wondering whether he could make something himself. After graduating, Ash started his own clothing brand. It grew slowly, mostly through people recommending it to other people. Sometimes he still appears in campaigns or lookbooks for the brand. Sometimes for other projects too.
